Good to Know

Our charter yachts are all moored in Falmouth, Cornwall.

If you’re arriving by car, we can help you with parking options. Alternatively there is a train station in the centre of town, with easy transfers from Truro.

The safety of our crew, you and your guests is of utmost importance. We make regular checks on all our yachts and equipment to ensure they meet our strict standards and UK regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our yacht charters are designed to cater for everyone, regardless of experience or ability.

This is why we offer two types of yacht charter here in Cornwall – skippered and bareboat.

If you are an experienced, qualified sailor, you’re welcome to charter one of our yachts yourself with a bareboat yacht charter.

For those without experience, you can still enjoy a wonderful experience out on the water, with a BYC skipper who will take care of all the sailing and navigation for you on a skippered yacht charter.

Yes guests of all ages are very welcome!

We’re happy to discuss your yacht charter in more detail if you’re bringing younger family members along, so we can ensure we create a tailored trip that everyone can enjoy.

On our skippered charters, your skipper will happily include everyone when it comes to aspects of sailing the boat, if they wish to get involved.

For bareboat charters, we require a member of the crew to have specific qualifications, which will also reflect their ability to look after all members of the group.

All safety equipment, lifejackets and harnesses are included as standard.

If you book a skippered charter, soft drinks and snacks while onboard will be provided by your skipper.

The following is not included as part of your yacht charter, so if applicable please make provision for these.

• Any meals taken ashore

• Any tours ashore

• Alcohol, you are welcome to bring your own and there is a small selection aboard.

• Travel to and from the vessel.

• Personal travel insurance

• Mooring and fuel costs

• Use of the vessel’s oilskins and boots (these may be hired or you can bring your own)

Yes we have insurance in place against accident and third party liability for the yacht and its equipment.

You can find out more about this in our full Terms & Conditions.

We have a Terms & Conditions page where you can read everything in more detail.

You’ll find Terms & Conditions on this page for both skippered & bareboat charters.
